MESA set to host open house to introduce new center

Seattle Central’s MESA program will host an Open House on Apr. 7 at 1 p.m. to introduce its new center and display student research projects.

Community members will learn more about MESA, which provides opportunities in STEM for underrepresented students. The open house will allow guests to view student work from internships and classes in STEM subject areas (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). Guests can also tour the new MESA Student Center, which moved from North Plaza to inside the Broadway Edison building. MESA Director Marilyn Saavedra-Leyva and Seattle Central President Sheila Edwards Lange, Ph.D., will give opening remarks.
