“Spring into Central” Open House showcases college programs and services

SEATTLE — Seattle Central Community College hosts Spring into Central on Tuesday, May 12th from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. This free event will be held on the main floor of the Broadway Edison Building, the college’s main campus, located at 1701 Broadway. Nearly 40 informational booths will showcase the many educational, career training and student involvement opportunities available at Seattle Central. Free parking will be provided along with campus tours, light refreshments, prizes and live jazz.

In April 2007, The New York Times included Seattle Central in its list of the best community colleges in the nation for university transfer students. Representatives will be on hand at the open house to answer questions and provide information about the variety of university transfer degree options available to prospective students along with career training opportunities in more than 30 professional and technical programs. In addition, student services representatives from registration, advising and financial aid will be available to answer questions and help students as they prepare for college.

Free parking is available at the Seattle Central Harvard Garage, located at 1609 Harvard Avenue.
