Seattle Central Career Center to host healthcare information session

Seattle Central Community College’s Career Services Center will host an information session for individuals interested in education and employment options in the healthcare field. The event will take place Thursday, Nov. 14 in the Mitchell Activity Center, Room 210, on the college’s campus, located at 1701 Broadway in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle.

From 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., two breakout sessions will be held:  chiropractic medicine with Life Chiropractic West College, and the physician assistant (PA) program with MEDEX NW, part of the University of Washington School of Medicine.

From 12 to 2 p.m., the event will feature a panel of representatives from local healthcare employers and educational institutions. These include Seattle Central’s Dental Hygiene program, Seattle Children’s, Evergreen Health, National Vision, Inc., Home Instead Senior Care, Bastyr University/Clinic and Kal Klass Dentistry. Additionally, those who attend can learn more about Seattle Central’s health training programs, including nursing, surgical technology, repiratory care, opticianry, dental hygiene, and allied health.
