Veteran to reflect on impact of war in exhibition at campus art gallery
This summer, veteran and artist Steven Markussen will fill the M. Rosetta Hunter Art Gallery with paintings and sculptures that reflect on the lasting impact of war.
In “Veteran: Works by Steven Markussen,” the artist draws from personal experience and uses both recycled and natural materials with rich texture to create works that draw attention to the treatment of veterans after they return home from war. The exhibition was made possible in part by a grant from 4Culture.
The M. Rosetta Hunter Gallery will host an opening reception on June 25, 2015 from 6 to 8 p.m. and the exhibition will be on display until August 20.
