Scholarship Application Deadline Extended
Seattle – Seattle Central Community College is pleased to offer a variety of full year resident tuition scholarships for the 2006-2007 academic year to graduating high school seniors. The application deadline has been extended from April 14 to April 28, 2006.
General Criteria: Applicants must be graduating from high school or the equivalent in spring 2006, and plan to attend Seattle Central full-time (12 credits or more per quarter) during the 2006-2007 academic year. Applicants must also officially apply for admission to the college, either in person or online at seattlecentral.edu/admissions (free of charge). Application does not commit the student financially or otherwise to Seattle Central.
Students who meet HB 1079 criteria (in-state tuition for undocumented students) are also eligible to apply.
All applicants must submit a completed application form, two recommendations, high school transcript through winter semester 2006, a personal letter stating goals and abilities, and SAT or ACT scores. Seattle Central’s ASSET or SLEP + Math test scores may be substituted for SAT/ACT. Contact the college’s testing office (206) 934-6913) for more information. Scholarship recipients will be required to meet minimum performance standards in order to retain their scholarship.
