Seattle Central and Seattle Police to Hold Community Forum

What
A community forum including leadership from the Seattle Police Department (East Precinct) and the Seattle Central Community College campus community. Topics to be discussed include student rights, police training and accountability, and campus safety.

A one-hour discussion between students and SPD officers will be followed by a one-hour question and answer session with the audience.

Background
Seattle Central President Paul Killpatrick invited the Seattle Police Department to hold a community forum on the Central campus to establish an ongoing discussion between the SPD East Precinct and Seattle Central. Student leaders helped plan the forum, along with East Precinct officers.

This event is free; Capitol Hill residents are invited to attend, along with the Seattle Central community.
