Department Awards
Seattle Culinary Academy was awarded the CAFÉ/Kendall College Green Award for its sustainable initiatives and practices. The national award is given to programs that have shown exemplary efforts to educate and include green and sustainable methods in their curriculum. The Central program was one of the first schools in the nation to incorporate sustainability in their required courses.
The Seattle Central Library was honored by the National Association of College and Research Libraries with a 2012 Excellence in Academic Libraries Award. The staff was praised for creative innovation, leadership, team support, creative marketing and overall collaborative nature of the department.
