IT specialist honored
Arlene Bolton was selected as the 2012 Classified Employee of the Year by her co-workers at Seattle Central. She has worked as an information technician in Information Technology Services for seven years.
As a member of the information services desk, Arlene troubleshoots a wide variety of technical programs and supports often frustrated co-workers, who are “just trying to do their jobs,” she explains.
Bolton grew up in Walla Walla and worked for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and later worked on the help desk for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in Seattle.
“I love my job,” she said. “I really feel like a part of a team here–fellow staff, teaching faculty and administration–and it’s very important to me.”
