Governor appoints new trustee to Seattle Colleges board
Governor Inslee recently appointed Teresita Batayola to fill the vacancy on the Seattle Colleges Board of Trustees. Teresita is the CEO of International Community Health Services, which is a nonprofit community health center that primarily serves Asian and Pacific Islanders and other underserved communities in Seattle and King County.
Batayola will fill the vacancy on the five-member board left by Albert Shen who was appointed the National Deputy Director of the Minority Business Development Agency in the U.S. Department of Commerce.
She has years of experience in the healthcare industry and serves on the boards of the Association of Asian Pacific Community Health Organizations, the Community Health Plan, Community Health Network, and the Community Clinic Contracting Network. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Public Affairs from Seattle University and a master’s degree in Urban Administration from Bucknell University.
