Nominate a distinguished alum
Do you know of an outstanding former student? If so, consider nominating them for the 2015 Distinguished Alumni Award. This prestigious award was created four years ago by President Paul T. Killpatrick to honor former students and inspire our current students to make a difference once they graduate.
Past winners include:
- Katie Hinde (2014), a Harvard professor who is world-renowned for her research on mammal lactation.
- Duff McKagan (2013), a rock musician and author who was formerly a member of the legendary band Guns and Roses
- Cheryl Roe (2012), director of programs and development at Skill’s, Inc.
- Al Sugiyama (2011), founder of the Center for Career Alternatives, who received the inaugural award for his outstanding contributions to the community and his courageous fight against discrimination as a Seattle Central student.
Nominees should exemplify achievement in his or her particular endeavor in life, including academic, business/professional and civic activities.
Please fill out a nomination form, which can be found here and submitted online: https://eforms.seattlecolleges.edu/lfserver/distinguishedalumni
Deadline is May 1, 2015. The Distinguished Alum will be honored during graduation and will be one of the main speakers.
