Students, faculty and staff save lives at blood drive

Everyday 900 units of blood are needed to fill the need for those who need transfusions and last week, students, faculty and staff lined up to help. More than 30 people, including 15 new donors, showed up to give 25 units of blood at the Bloodworks Northwest (formerly the Puget Sound Blood Center) blood drive on Friday. Their donations will go to save up to 75 lives.

The Bloodworks Northwest “bloodmobile” stops by campus each quarter to ask students, staff and community members to donate blood. Their next drive on campus will be on July 10, 2015.
