Computing Essentials class offers vital skills for workplace and classroom
Computer skills are critical to success in both the workforce and the classroom. That’s why our Computing Essentials course offers basic computer skills that are required in the modern workplace, the classroom, and that help our students excel in their personal lives.
Computing Essentials is designed for those students who have little or no experience using computers in an academic setting or the workplace. The course teaches individuals how to communicate using current technology, and offer a basic introduction to using computers, mobile devices, software and the internet.
The class is open to new students who only want to take one class, as well as to currently students who need to brush up on the latest trends in computer technology to succeed in other programs. This hybrid class meets once per week from 1p.m. to 2:50p.m. on Fridays.
Sign Up! This class begins at the start of Fall Quarter on September 28 and it’s not too late to register. New students should complete the standard admissions process (including the COMPASS test) and sign up through the MyCentral student portal.
