Advising office restructured to better address student needs
Seattle Central College has restructured its advising and support staff to better serve student needs. One of the biggest changes is that both College Transfer and Professional/Technical students can all access advising services through the refreshed Advising Office in BE1102. Advisors can help all students with their educational plans and goals, as well as with unofficial transcript evaluation and researching appropriate programs. Students in specific programs like Running Start, TRiO, Basic and Transitional Studies, International Studies and bachelor’s programs should still meet with their departmental advisors/counselors.
Professional Technical students who are already enrolled in a specific program should speak with staff in their program for help with academic and professional advising. In addition to meeting with an advisor, students interested in Professional/Technical programs can visit the Workforce Services and Start Next Quarter to explore program and funding options.
