Weeklong activities to support transfer students
The College Transfer Center will host a week of activities from October 19 – 23 to support students seeking to transfer to four-year institutions. During Transfer Week, the College Transfer Center will offer a variety of workshops to help students with aspects of the college transfer process including personal statements, and how to find the right university. On Wednesday, Oct 21, faculty and staff are encouraged to wear college gear to motivate conversations about their undergraduate experiences. Additionally, local universities will also offer information sessions during the week to answer student questions about their specific transfer requirements and admissions processes.
During the following week, transfer activities continue as Smith College and Mount Holyoke College visit campus on Oct. 26 to speak about transfer options for non-traditional female students. Finally, on Oct. 27, the Washington Council for High School College Relations will host the annual Fall Transfer Fair. Representatives from over fifteen public and private institutions in the state will be on hand to speak with students.
