Culinary student wins international competition to study tapas in Spain
Second-year Culinary student Kayla von Michalofski placed as one of 12 finalists for the Spanish Gastronomy and Tapas Training Program, besting 60 competitors with her small plate, titled “PacificNorthwest Native Adventure.” Her prize is a six-month trip to Spain to study tapas. While there, she will intern at a Michelin-starred restaurant and present her dish at the International Tapas Competition.
