TRiO recognized as exemplary college success program in region
Seattle Central’s TRiO team presented about their longstanding work to support underrepresented students at an annual celebration of regional service providers.
The college’s TRiO program was recently recognized as one of the top college success programs in the region for its work to close the opportunity gap for low-income students, children of color and students who have historically been disadvantaged. TRiO staff presented on these successes, as well as recent efforts to help more students graduate through Project Finish Line . The campus program was invited as one of 30 exhibitors at a “Celebration of Success,” an event sponsored by the Road Map Project, which coordinates efforts aimed improving student achievement in South King County and South Seattle.
