Culinary Academy restaurants make Seattle Eater’s “Cheap Eats Week” list
Seattle Central College’s Seattle Culinary Academy restaurants recently landed on Seattle Eater’s top 16 list of eateries for 2015 “Cheap Eats Week”, which runs July 13-17.
During summer quarter, the variety of plates that students create “of international street food, farm salads, sandwiches, ice creams and more are worth a special trip,” writes Eater. Each plate costs between $1.50 and $7.50 each, and diners can mix and match to create their ideal lunch.
The menu changes daily with freshly prepared offerings featuring student-harvested produce from Skagit Valley Farm. Summer quarter dining is open Tuesdays through Thursdays from 11:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. through Aug. 13.
The One World Restaurant, Square One Bistro and The Buzz pastry case on campus are also run by students, who serve up seasonal and sustainable dishes during spring, winter and fall quarters.
