Library awarded grant to develop digital literacy curriculum
Today the Washington State Library awarded the Seattle Central College Library one of 12 grants totaling $75,059 to public, academic, and tribal libraries to support digital literacy efforts in the state.
The Seattle Central College Library will train and lead a team of faculty in developing digital literacy curriculum for Seattle Central students. Librarians will create a “next wave” digital and information literacy plan that incorporates “metaliteracy.” Using this plan, librarians will partner with the college’s Center for Extended Learning to help faculty develop instructional content for online, face-to-face, and hybrid courses.
