Seattle Central Students to Receive Degrees on Father’s Day
Seattle – Students at Seattle Central Community College will be given the ultimate gift on Father’s Day on Sunday, June 16. Seventeen hundred students are graduating from the college this year with degrees, certificates, and diplomas. Over 300 will be on hand at the college’s annual commencement ceremony this Sunday at Benaroya Hall. The college expects 2,500 friends and family members to attend the event.
“Commencement is a very special day for our college family,” says Dr. Charles H. Mitchell, Seattle Central president. “It is our chance to celebrate the achievements of our hardworking students and I am especially happy for the fathers of our graduates who will spend the day seeing their children receive honors.” Just last week, Dr. Mitchell was named a “Father of the Year” by the American Diabetes Association.
Commencement ceremonies will begin at 7:30 p.m. at Beneroya Hall, located at 200 University Street. For more information, please contact Director of Communications Danny Howe at (206) 934-5485 or 206 579-4693.
