College president co-chairs mayor’s Seattle Education Summit

President Sheila Edwards Lange, Ph.D., served as one of four co-chairs for Seattle Mayor Ed Murray’s recent Education Summit, which discussed actions the city can take to reduce educational disparities among children in Seattle Public Schools.
Over the past few months, Dr. Edwards Lange participated in listening sessions to collect input from various stakeholders. She also discussed the role of the summit as a front-row guest at a community forum about the region’s education system, hosted by the Seattle Channel.
